As we move forward into 2021, we are looking for passionate and engaged racquetball members to join the TXRA Board.  This year we have 4 open board positions.  We are looking for nominations to join a board that is committed to expanding racquetball in Texas.  The election will occur starting April 1, 2021 and ending April 15, 2021. Requirements to serve on the board:  Attend all TXRA Board Meetings. Year 2020 Retrospective Texas has enjoyed the privilege and honor of hosting amazing tournaments right at the start of each year with the nationally renowned Longhorn Open (our longest-running tournament), the Tornado Alley Championships, and our beloved Texas State Seniors.  No one could foresee what was to follow: a pandemic spreading globally leading to the cancellation of all future tournaments for the next several months due to the shutdowns for safety reasons. For months, patiently we waited and waited and still wait for the return to some form of normalcy to our everyday lives at work, school, and in our social communities. Although, it sometimes felt like the “world” was coming to an end last year , it did not. However, many of us did not leave 2020 unscathed. We continue to mourn and honor the memory of our friends who lost their lives due to COVID-19 as well as other illness and circumstances. Last time Cliff was here in September, all the time slots filled up in 6 days. I have heard from several folks that took a lesson from Cliff in September saying that it changed their game and wish they could have had more time with him!!! TXRA BOARD MEETING MINUTES May 19, 2020 Due to Covid-19 restrictions meeting was conducted via secure Zoom audio/video format PRESENT: Bob Sullens, David Weiser, Sandy Rios, Mike Cantu, Mike Sorensen, Ross Smith, Kevin Sendry, Anita Johnson-Florez, Dale Gosser, Julienne Arnold. NOT PRESENT: Mitchell McCoy, Jon Friedman, Jeff Franco Meeting was called to order and a quorum was declared by the presence of the above named at 7:04PM SAFESPORT AND BAKCGROUND CHECKS The first order of business was discussion of the SafeSport Program and Background Check which are required of all TXRA Board members.  It was noted the following deficits existed: Expired or Never Don SafeSport-Bob, Ross, Davis Backgrounds-Jeff, AJ Soon to Expire SafeSport-Mitch (5/28), Mike S.
